Discover the history of Blackwood Forest

Event Description:

Acting Chair, Bruce Harper extends on behalf of our Committee, an invitation for you to join us for this important meeting.

Following the formalities our Guest Speaker, Pattie Reynolds, will share the story of Blackwood Forest.

A member of the Friends of Blackwood Forest, she will delve into the history of the experimental orchard in the early 1900s, the 10-year passionate fight by our community through the 1980s and 1990s to save the forest from development and current and future plans for the area. 

This presentation will be followed by afternoon tea. All welcome.

NB Nominations are now open to financial members for positions on the Committee. The nomination form can be downloaded from this page, as can the National Trust of SA 2025 Membership application form.

Important Information:
This meeting will consider strategies and plans to ensure the continuation of the Coromandel Valley & Districts Branch, National Trust of South Australia.
