We're putting a call out for help: everyone knows how tough it is to attract volunteers these days.
"Time poverty" is just so prevalent, BUT we really need some more people to keep Coromandel Valley & Districts Branch of National Trust - South Australia functioning.
The Branch Annual General Meeting is to be held on Sunday 23rd November. To ensure its continuation we must elect a committee of no less than five (5) people in accordance with National Trust – South Australia regulations. We can have more, but no less.
Acting Branch Chairperson, Bruce Harper has commented, “Since the sudden passing of our late Chair, Trevor Conlon in January, it is fair to say that we have only just been keeping our collective heads above water in an operational sense.”
“I must say that our Committee and our helpers have been magnificent all through the year, ensuring that we have not only been able to keep the doors open, but enabling our Branch to provide the level of hospitality that we are noted for as well as continuing the research and story recording that is part of our core business.”
We always appreciate having new volunteers join our ranks, but our focus right now is making sure that on 23rd November that we meet that legal obligation of electing sufficient Committee members to be able to keep doing what we do.
